Serra Positions
Control Systems Engineer (University)
Engineering is a profession that offers the opportunity to explore
virtually any type of industry, technology or product. Engineers are
involved with every aspect of human society from next generation
microchip manufacturing to ensuring that we have clean water to
drink. Engineers can be involved with food processing or building
machines that produce golf balls. Engineering is one of the few
professions that offers so many job choices.
So why pick just one?
Serra is looking for engineers that never get tired of learning or
experiencing new technologies. As a Control Systems Engineer at
Serra, you will work on a wide range of engineering projects across
many different industries. You will help develop products and
technologies before the general public knows that they exist, (or
are even possible). After you finish you’ll work on something
completely different!
What is a typical year like for a Control Systems Engineer? One
moment you may be helping to design a real time control system for a
machine that will produce the color shifting ink printed on every
United States twenty dollar bill. Next, you could be standing next
to a three story tall pump used to pump millions of gallons of
water. Later in the year you might develop a system to
electronically gather production data from a high speed line
producing thousands of cans per minute. To wrap the year up you
could engineer a graphical user interface for a state of the art
hydrogen generation and fueling station.
